What Is Dahua Face Detection?
Face Detection is an AI-based Dahua feature that detects human faces in the video stream and automatically captures them as soon as they appear in the image. It is used to locate faces within a scene and store them locally as usable facial images. It is important to note that Face Detection does not reidentify individuals through database comparison, as this is handled by Dahua’s separate Face Recognition feature.
Depending on the Dahua model, Face Detection can also capture additional metadata attributes such as age, gender, facial expression, glasses, mask, and beard.

In practice, Face Detection primarily improves the structure and usability of video data. Relevant facial images are captured automatically and provided as snapshots with associated attributes for search and analysis purposes.
