Object Monitoring
What Is Dahua Object Monitoring?
Object Monitoring is an AI-powered Dahua feature for monitoring defined objects and object-related status changes within a defined area.
Object Monitoring supports two rule types (both can be selected at the same time):
- Smart Missing Object: refers to an object that was previously present within the defined area and has been removed.
- Smart Abandoned Object: refers to an object that has been placed within the defined area and remains there beyond the defined period of time.
The function works with predefined object categories: transportation, luggage/bag/box, electronic product, public item, or other objects.
What Practical Benefits Does Dahua Object Monitoring Offer?
Typical application areas for Dahua Object Monitoring include publicly accessible locations such as railway stations, airports, entrance areas, waiting zones, and other high-traffic environments where abandoned or removed objects need to be detected at an early stage. In practice, this enables security personnel to respond more quickly to potentially critical situations, inspect suspicious areas more selectively, and reduce dependence on continuous visual monitoring.
